PURPOSE:To enable a discharged hot water temperature to be adjusted arbitrarily and at the same time to prevent a freezing of the hot water by a method wherein the degree of opening of a valve is adjusted in response to a temperature setting signal and an automatic mixing valve to cause a lower temperature inlet port and a higher temperature inlet port to be connected to each other when a hot water discharging is terminated. CONSTITUTION:Water in a hot water unit 3 is boiled up while an operation switch 13 of a remote controlled device 15 is on, and the same time the degree of opening of an automatic mixing valve 4 is adjusted in response to a temperature setting signal set by a temperature setting unit 14. When a hot water is supplied, hot water of the hot water unit 3 and water in a water supplying pipe 10 are mixed by an automatic mixing valve 4, and the hot water maintained at a set temperature is fed to a hot water utilizing part 11 through a hot water supplying pipe 12. When an operation switch 13 is turned off, a control signal for terminating a hot water is supplied to a mixing valve control device 8 and a heating control device 16. Even under this condition, when it is necessary to prevent a freezing condition, the mixing valve control device 8 controls a valve body 4C at a position of connection between the low temperature inlet port 4A and a hot temperature inlet port 4B. With this arrangement, it is possible to prevent a freezing in the pipes 6, 7 or the automatic mixing valve 4.
